Created for XDouble skateshop in Innsbruck, Austria, this piece translates the shop’s name into dimensional lettering. Bands of coloured wood run across the face, with changing arrangements of layers giving each section its own rhythm. The connected letters form a single sculptural wordmark, bringing the shop’s graphic identity into a physical object. Deep edges and open letterforms give the familiar name a presence beyond its printed form.
